How to read this table. The median is the middle value of all independent quotes on the lane — it is a better market reference than the cheapest offer, which is often a short-validity or restricted-space rate. Ocean freight basis, POL to POD: origin and destination charges, BAF/PSS/GRI and free time are excluded unless stated. Median is used instead of the cheapest quote because minimum offers are usually short validity or restricted space.

Use the median to quote

Check quote depth

A lane with 2 quotes is anecdote. Lanes with 20+ quotes and 10+ carriers are the ones worth trusting.
